My qualifying crit is over! Now, all I have to worry about is the "Kids Are Uptight" opening on Saturday and the Book Party on the 15th.
The Pizza Book has gone international! We put up a pre-order link online, and have sold about 30 so far... even on in France! We have also been written up about in th City Paper and the Philadelphia Weekly! Hopefully people will come out and check out the tees, murals, have a beer, and listen to some music... and then go home and order The Pizza Book!

After months of eating pizza, The Pizza Book is finally finished. It is 98-pages of riveting reviews all handwritten and illustrated by myself and Gregory Pizzoli. We just got the proof back from the printers and are making revisions now. It will be available on May 15, but we are taking pre-orders ($20 if you pick it up, $25 if we ship it to ya). Lemme know if you want one or order online here. There are fifty in this first printing, and each will be signed and numbered by us, plus include a 6" x 6" silkscreen print. Here is the cover:

The Kids Are Uptight t-shirt show is coming up fast... we have printed half the shirts and will start installing this week. I'll post some pics of the new shirts soon, and update you on the progress of the installation as it unfolds.
Im working on a series of drawings that I'll post too once I make a bit more progress...

Current Projects and Happenings
I've been collaborating on a couple of projects this semester with my pal Greg Pizzoli (aka Doctor Pizzoli). We are working under the label Straight Rainbow, blog here.
The first project is a tee shirt exhibition called "The Kids Are Uptight" on May 10. We've asked nine designers/illustrators to participate by submitting a design based on political slogans. Each will be printed in an edition of roughly 25 by Greg and myself, on hand-dyed tee shirts. We are printing one a week, so I'll update with pics are they are completed.
Here are all the shirt colors we dyed:

And here is the first shirt we printed, designed by Pierre Richardson:

Greg and I are also working on a Philadelphia pizza review book. We are reviewing 30 places that sell slices and extensively reviewing our experiences. We take our official notebook, which houses our official review forms to every place, and scrutinize everything from the pizza quality to the bathroom cleanliness.

The book will be a perfect bound, 98 page, handwritten and illustrated book of serious pizza talk. So get ready, it'll be available by May 15, hopefully.
Our MFA 1 works in progess show (Mistakes Were Made) is approaching at a serious speed on Friday, March 21. And in true Pansley style, I'm printing everything for it this week. I'll post pics as things are done.
Ok, that's all for now.
